Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome at the Sandman. A Pet Fee of $25 per stay plus tax is required for a maximum of two pets per room. Each pet must weigh less than 50 pounds to be accommodated.
Our standard cancellation policy is 24-hours prior to arrival to avoid any penalties. Some of our promotional and discounted rates may be non-refundable/non-cancellable. If you have any questions, please contact the front desk by calling 7907.293.210o or email hello@sandmansantarosa.com.
Current taxes are 14.195%. There are no additional fees added to your stay unless you bring a pet. Taxes are subject to change.
If you did not book direct on sandmansantarosa.com, you will need to contact the agency or website where the reservation was originally made to make changes. Unfortunately, we have no way of editing these reservations once they are made on a third party website.
While we do not have a full-service restaurant, we do offer beverages & snacks at our Pool House & Bar. There are several restaurants just minutes from the hotel, and downtown Santa Rosa located just 3 miles south. Our front desk team is happy to provide you with recommendations.
The Pool House & Bar hours of operation are dependent on the season and weather conditions, and are subject to change without notice. Visit the Pool House & Bar web page for our current schedule.
We have a heated, outdoor pool and hot tub open daily from 9am-10pm (weather permitting). The pool area is an amenity for the hotel guests and is not open to the public.
We do not offer day pool passes at this time.
We have a fully-equipped fitness room featuring a Peloton bike, free weights and kettlebells. The fitness room is open daily 6am-10pm.
There is complimentary, high-speed WiFi available throughout the property.
We have a coin-operated guest laundry room open daily from 9am-10pm.

During the summer months, we host a Sandman Summer Nights concert series that is open to the public and features music from local artists plus delicious eats from the area’s best food trucks. Follow us on social media for regular updates @sandmansantarosa.
In addition to the cornhole and bocce courts, we offer a selection of complimentary activities including Campfire Karaoke and Wine Yoga. Check our web calendar for the most up-to-date schedule.

We do not currently offer room service.
Our full renovation was completed in June 2017. We were happy to expand our outdoor activities in 2019 with the addition of a bocce ball court and fire tables.
We have one Family Suite which sleeps up to 5 guests. This large room also offers comfortable seating, easy ground floor access and a selection of games to entertain the kids!
All of our rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave.
We do not have in-room minibars. Snacks and beverages are available in the Lobby Market Place and Pool House & Bar.
Parking is complimentary for our guests.
There are plenty of kid-friendly activities in Sonoma County that the whole family can enjoy. Here are some of our favorites:
The Sandman, with a central location just off Highway 101, is the perfect launching point from which to explore everything Northern California has to offer. Although known primarily for its wine region and outdoor recreation, Sonoma County has plenty of other things to do, and some great places to explore. Visit Fun Things To Do to discover more.
Safari West
Boasting over 400 acres and home to 900 animals, Safari West is the premier African safari in Northern California. Get up close and personal with the wildlife on an African-style safari tour of the grounds, where you’ll meet giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, and much more! Best of all, the fun is just minutes from the Sandman, making ours one of the best value hotels near Safari West!
Museums of Sonoma County
See the diverse international and regional art scene or explore history at one the many museums of Sonoma County. The Art Museum and History Museum, are located together within a stunning Sculpture Garden with rotating outdoor installations. Children and adults will enjoy the Charles M. Schulz Museum and The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County will jump start creativity and curiosity.
Railroad Square Historic District
Once a vital agricultural hub and trade intersection, Railroad Square has been restored to its former glory. As one of the main outdoor shopping, entertainment, and dining destinations, Railroad Square is a must-visit. Spend the afternoon browsing the shops lining the square, attend an event, or just appreciate the architectural artistry of the century-old square.
Luther Burbank Gardens
Luther Burbank Gardens is where the world-renowned horticulturist, Luther Burbank, lived and experimented with plants for most of his 50-year career. This Registered National, State & City Historic Landmark is a unique urban garden located at the corner of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Avenues in Santa Rosa, California.
